FAQ

  • What is Charcoal Golf?

Charcoal Golf creates limited-edition fine art prints of iconic golf holes and clubs. Each piece is hand-crafted by artist Mark Rivard using a unique mixed-media style that combines charcoal, watercolor, colored pencil, and ink. We work directly with golf clubs to capture the character and history of their most memorable holes.

  • How are the prints produced?

Each piece begins as original artwork created by Mark Rivard. The work is then professionally scanned at ultra-high resolution (600+ dpi), capturing every brushstroke, pencil mark, and subtle texture in the original. From there, it is printed using archival inks on museum-quality, acid-free fine art paper, ensuring exceptional color accuracy, depth, and longevity.

  • Can I commission a piece of my home course?

We collaborate with clubs on a case-by-case basis. If you are a golf professional, general manager, or club representative interested in a custom project, please contact us directly at info@charcoalgolf.com to discuss partnership opportunities.

  • Are prints available anywhere else?

Each Charcoal Golf print is exclusive to the club it represents and available only through Charcoal Golf or, in select cases, directly in the club’s pro shop. We do not sell through third-party retailers, ensuring every piece remains as unique as the course itself.

  • Are custom sizing options available?

Yes. While our standard editions are produced as 16”×20” and 18”×24” fine art giclée prints, we can accommodate custom sizing upon request. Email us at info@charcoalgolf.com to request.

  • Do you offer framing?

No. We ship each print rolled in a protective tube, ready for your framer to present in the style that best suits your space. If you’d like guidance, we’re happy to recommend framing options that highlight the artwork beautifully.

  • Return Policy

At Charcoal Golf, every piece is created with care and shipped with the highest standards of protection. Because our artwork is made in limited editions, all sales are final, and we do not accept returns or exchanges. That said, your satisfaction matters to us. If your artwork arrives damaged during shipping, we will gladly replace it free of charge. Please notify us info@charcoalgolf.com within 7 days of delivery, include photos of the damage, and we’ll arrange for a replacement to be sent promptly.
